Taj Green Cove Resort, Kovalam is my most favorite holiday destination. This 12 acre five star deluxe property brings to you the pristine beauty of the backwaters of Arabian sea, exotic views of Kerala coconut groves, unique cottages with Kerala architecture and a wide range of indoor activities including archery, shooting, painting, cooking classes etc which you can try out ( don’t mistake me as their promotion agent !). If you are visiting Kerala, just try them out.
I took my parents along on a nice vacation they deserve so much. My father who never scored less than 100 in Maths in his school and college had to abandon his studies after his UG and go for a job to sustain a large family that migrated to India from Bangladesh following the partition. He struggled his way through and it called for lot of struggle on my parents’ part to give me all the education I had. His integrity and upright value system endeared him to everyone in the district at all levels in the society. Having retired from the Postal and Telecom department he actively engaged himself in social activities currently as commissioner of Cooch Behar municipality corporation.
My father in fact has a busier schedule than mine but I was lucky this time to have them join me in my last vacation trip to Kerala . It was indeed a great privilege and good fortune for me. I was quite moved a few years back to hear one of my very close friend taking such a personal care of her father in law who was suffering from terminal stage of cancer. Right from patient caring to feeding, she personally took on the onerous challenge without any complaints. This incident turned my love and affection to her into a deep sense respect.I really wish all children can demonstrate such spirit of gratitude . I always hold the views that you don’t need protection of any God if you enjoy your parent’s blessings .
