In the last twenty years ,I stayed in these hotels on many occasions , organizing and participating in several events and seminars, though of late I prefer to stay close to the airport like Grand Hyatt and so on due to its close proximity to the airport. Apart from being the most beautiful hotel overseeing the Arabian sea and Gateway of India, what appealed to me the most was the well appointed lobby of the Taj with several priceless artefacts and paintings all around. I remember some original paintings of M F Hussain and also many modern paintings of almost all renowned contemporary artists used to adorn the walls of the Taj.One can visit Taj just to savour these paintings. The terror attacks has not only taken valuable human life but it has also stripped the sheen of these antique pieces and fascinating paintings.
