( Terrace garden in my home at  Coochbehar )

Horticulture is my father’s passion. Like I fill all walls around me with paintings and artifacts and always feel if I had even a bigger wall , my father likewise  fills all spaces  around him with plants and flower pots.It is my belief that there is something unusual about the air of Coochbehar that can blend the fragrance of the flowers into the gentle breeze so effortlessly. There is a variety of Tulip flower in Toyoma Prefecture of Japan, the most beautiful of all Tulip flowers in the world , they grow well hearing the footsteps of people around it . Quite similar to it , my father does magic to these plants and flowers . They just grow  brilliantly and at times even bloom untimely with his care and attention. It is my deep belief that he has an unstated equation with Mother Nature which he has developed over the years with the gentle breeze also silently supporting his endeavors. As if the  six ground  land  in my home at   Coochbehar is not enough , even the terrace is also full of flower pots and plants including a pomegranate tree you could see in the picture - leaving hardly any space for swing or for drying clothes. You see beautiful butterflies in Coochbehar with many of them being of rare varieties. It’s a wonderful sight when you see these butterflies and honeybees flying around the plants and flowers and you know where to go when you need a break ( free acco with all meals included) !
