My trip to Goa  coincided with my leadership team meet this year .While in Goa, I had an opportunity to attend the famous Goa Carnival.  It was a great  experience.  I have not seen an event so colorful.    We also had  a cruise ride on river Mandovi,   one should never  miss it. Not just the name of the river is so romantic ( had I got a daughter I would have named her Mandovi) , the cruise ride in the evening with the live band and dance ,the back water tide and  with so many  colorfully lit vessels around ,the experience is simply unforgettable.

From historical perspective St. Francis basilica must be  in the  itinerary.   St. Francis’s embalmed body is preserved for public view here. When I visited the place I strongly felt that serenity of the place was missing  due to the carelessness of the authority who have not given adequate care and attention to maintain the sanctity of the place. Hope next time I would see this place in a better shape.
