The cowardly  attack on the SriLankan cricket team  at Lahore leaves the entire world shocked especially the the world of sports . Sports  has no religion or culture or state.We embrace Maradona ,Sachin , Lara ,Nadal and so on irrespective of which nation they belong to or the color of their skin.When Pakistan gets isolated on global economy and politics , its last link to the world is Cricket , a sports where they have been traditionally receiving  adulation from sporting world . Cricket is the only game in this sub continent that makes the world real flat. Pakistan once again failed to protect the visiting cricket team  and thereby lost all its international credibility as a stable country. Because of the insensible fanaticsm  and irresponsible acts of  fundamentalists , a great religion like Islam gets a bad name. Terrorists are always terrorists and they have no  right to belong to any religion. But unfortunately , when they belong to Islamic religion , people call  them Islamic terrorists and  this incident may even be equated to the one where Israeli soccer team was attacked in the Olympic quite a few years back.

I must also question the Srilankan cricked Board. When India cancelled its trip to Srilanka on security ground , what made the Sri Lankan Cricket Board to undertake this unscheduled trip to Pakistan ? Was it a ploy to embarras the Indian Cricket Board ? We all know how Indian Cricket Board has always stood by the Srilankan cricket Board . What did the SriLankan cricket Board try to prove? Did they  adequately evaluate the security concerns ? The SriLankan cricket Board must answer them .
