Finally all the evil spirits are out and Satyam is now really Satyam. We have identified all the wrongdoings and thanks to media, the government as well as we ourselves are on our toes. So, beyond the corporate hierarchy ,now we know another pillar of democracy is active and that is media. Such a crisis has brought great opportunity before Satyam now. In some cases our customers have come forward to assure the satyam associates working on their projects that they would stand by them. Most of our customers continue to be with us and our receivable collections have been outstanding with many of the customers making payments even before the due date. This kind of comradery between satyam and its customers was never witnessed before. This bond during crisis is definitely going to become even stronger when the recovery starts. Thanks to the government’s timely intervention, we now have an outstanding board in place and proudly claim that after TCS we are the only second largest IT company to have a Board without promoters. In this respect we are ahead of HCL, Wipro and so called “corporate conscience keeper “Infosys.
If I am to believe what I hear from the media and other sources , we are well on our way to have brilliant CEO & CFO to steer the company. There are also talks about merger with a strong partner that will make Satyam only stronger. A few leaders from satyam leadership council are showing exemplary valor and leadership quality to keep us motivated. Satyam has seen the worst. A journey of resurrection has begun. This journey may be painful at some turns . I am not sure whether I will be there in this journey. But I know for sure Satyam is definitely going to become a true Satyam- proving the advocates of doomsday wrong. Satyam would definitely not require to change its name.

But I would like to ask what about those innocent people who got sacked for some small reasons during companies firing spree in the month of September…Under the name of non-performance, Satyam has sacked few bright people ..They are still struggling outside to come on track.
No one would have thought about them during that point as Company was in good shape..now suddenly everyone is worried about associates as everyone is sailing in same boat..When one realizes their job is under threat and unsure about monthly salaries , then all this so called “spirit” comes out.Satyam leadership is making noise about associate spirit..where was this spirit during September when innocent were getting sacked ,dint those leaders think of them?
Now everyone talks about humanity, those who were sacked, are they not human beings, dont they have their families..
Will satyam take them back reviewing their performance like the way satyam balance sheets and old documents are scrutinized to know the truth…Will satyam leaders identify good guys who performed for company 2-3 years, got rewarded, promoted, still got terminated..
I am putting this comment here as I hope Asit would be able to answer this…
