One of my friend wanted to get a laptop and asked  me for a  suitable configuration. I thought this information will be useful for many of you reading the blog.

My personal preference is towards light weight slim laptops since I am never comfortable using laptops that  resemble desktops.  IBM Lenovo meets my requirement and it is my ideal choice.   For those who are price sensitive Dell is also good option, but it  does not have that upmarket brand value. Sony Vaio is an absolute no no. Compaq can be tried though I have not personally used them.  Toshiba looks good but is a bit over priced.
